Obituary for William W. Farmer

William “Bill” Farmer was born in Kansas City, MO December 11, 1945. He grew up in Independence, MO and attended William Chrisman High School. His studies continued at the University of Missouri Columbia culminating with a PhD in the History of Education. Bill met his wife Judy in school and they married in 1969. Complications with asthma brought Bill and Judy to Denver, Colorado in 1972. Once he recovered, he worked for Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Hospital for 23 years. His only son Keith was born in Denver in 1976. Bill worked for a banking company for another 15 years before retiring in 2012. Bill enjoyed listening to classical music, traveling through the US and Europe with his family, and landscape photography. He passed away peacefully at his home on August 3, 2014 after a long battle with heart failure. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Alice, and is survived by his wife Judy and his son Keith.
