Barbara Charlyne Ward, 58, Independence, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City. She was manager of Fun House Pizza & Pub on U.S. 40 in Independence for more than 20 years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine VanDyke. Her surviors include a son, Martin C. Garrett; her father, Charles Marty Hopkins; two sisters, Marty Jo Miller and Glenda Haines; and one brother, Butch Hopkins. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, Independence. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Raytown.
