Barbara Ann (Mattox) Nesbitt

On Sunday, May 6, 2007, the world lost a very special woman. Barbara Nesbitt of Osceola, Mo., died in a car crash, leaving behind so many who will spend each day celebrating her beautiful life.

Barbara will be remembered in many different ways by all the lives she touched with her loving heart, her compassion for others, and her never-ending zest for life. As the owner of ArSean's, the smiling face at the Sac Osage Hospital front desk, and the extra pair of hands to a friend in need, she will be missed for years to come. She loved living in a small community and was so very proud to be a part of the local area and the Boy Scout community. To her family and close friends she will be remembered as a loving and dedicated wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and best friend.

Barbara is survived by her husband, richard "Rip" Nesbitt; her children Arianna and Sean Nesbitt; her mother, Marjory Zimmerman; her brothers, Josh Mattox, Mike Mattox and Gerry Zimmerman; as well as many close family members and friends. Barbara, my mother and best friend, will be remembered for her positive advice, her way of making others feel like they were the most important person in the world, her home-cooked meals, her late night phone calls and her hugs that could melt all of your troubles away. Services will be held at 1 p.m., today, Thursday, May 10, 2007, at the Jesus Christ Restoration Church Independence Branch. There will be a remembrance service at Dana and Baxter Lee's Home at 4 p.m. The same day. On Saturday, May 12, 2007, there will be a remembrance service at 2 p.m. In Osceola, Mo., at Barbara and Rip's home at 54440 N. E. Highway U.

She would have wanted to have her friends and family celebrate her life in her home. Barbara believed having someplace to go is home-having someone to love is family, but that having both is a true blessing. That she did. We will miss her.
