Phyllis Ann (Williams) Smith

Phyllis Ann Smith (Williams), 73, of Eagle Rock, Mo., passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the home.

Phyllis was born December 21, 1944 in Birmingham, Alabama to Elmer and Ola Williams. Phyllis was raised in Independence, Mo. and was a graduate of William Chrisman High School (1963). Phyllis worked for Mobil Oil (in the 60's) and later sold Mary Kay products. She also enjoyed serving others as a waitress.

Later in life she stayed home to take care of her family. She especially loved hosting pool parties and the excitement and fellowship of the large Christmas celebrations with extended family and friends. She was a very caring person and always had a smile to cheer you.

Phyllis was preceded in death by parents, sister, Shirley Dugger and one grandson.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Clarence (Speck), their two sons Victor, wife Shawna, and Mark, sister Lola Williams, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Saturday, November 3rd at 10 a.m. with a Celebration of Life following at Calvary Baptist Church, 1915 N. Liberty St., Independence, Mo.

Very sorry to hear this, she was 1 week older than me. Makes you reconsider your future plans. Is there no obit?
