Glenn Francis Miller, age 79, of Pell City, Alabama passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025.
On March 3rd, 2025, our sweet husband, father, and papa, Glenn F. Miller, left his earthly body and entered the arms of our loving savior, Jesus Christ.
Glenn was born on July 29th, 1945, in Denver, Colorado to Ray and Doris Miller and was the youngest of six children. Glenn graduated from William Chrisman High School in Independence, Missouri, where he made lifelong friends. After graduating high school, he furthered his education at The University of Central Missouri, in Warrensburg, Missouri. At 23 years old, Glenn met a sassy young lady named Barbara that was from Kansas City, Missouri, who would then become his devoted wife of 56 years.
Glenn was a man of faith which filled him with the love for life which inspired many interest that included fishing, collecting arrowheads, sports cards, listening to oldies music, researching genealogy, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and of course watching Ohio State Football (Go Buckeyes!). With his quick wit and top-notch humor, Glenn was known to tell a joke or two that always made others laugh.
Glenn worked as a chemist in the industrial paint business for 46 years. With his vast knowledge arid expertise, this' allowed him to travel' to various' places within the United States before retiring in 2013.
Steadfast in his loyalty to his family, Glenn would often be seen in the1 community supporting his wife arid cheering on his grands and great grandkids at their sporting events. He cherished their handmade gifts and treasures which he proudly kept on display.,
Glenn is survived by his wife, Barbara Miller; their three daughters: Staci (Dewayne) Dawson, Wendi (Brad) Collins, and Andi Bullard; seven grandchildren: Brady (Julie) Miller, Kyle (Nicole) Miller, Ryan (Hannah) Salter, Chloe (Zach) Faires, Jansen Murray, Elaina Murray, and Jackson Bullard; 12 great grandchildren: Layla, Kaylee, Adeline, Brantley, Hadleigh, Jackson, Everleigh, Charlotte, Mille Ruth, Loxleigh, Aubree, Ayden; his brother Roland "Johnny" Miller, and his sister Virginia Miller-Woodall, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Bay and Doris Miller and his brothers: Raymond "Ray" Miller, Donald "Don" Miller, and Robert "Bob" Miller.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be made to First Baptist Church of Pell City Building Fund.
