Brenda K. Netz

October 20, 1945 - June 25, 2025

Mrs. Brenda Kay Netz, a beloved wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, peacefully entered her eternal rest on the morning of Wednesday June 25, 2025. She lived her 79 years with grace, strength, and a quiet resilience that touched all who knew her.

Brenda was born October 20, 1945, in Independence, Missouri, the second child of Clyde and Mary Thompson. In 1962, she married the love of her life, Mr. David Netz Sr., and together they embraced the joys and challenges of parenthood, welcoming four wonderful children into their lives. She tirelessly shouldered the responsibilities of raising a family, even when her husband was away for several years during his service in the Vietnam War. Their marriage flourished for 57 years until the heartbreaking loss of Mr. Netz in 2020.

Brenda’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a loving mother, a proud grandmother of seven, a great-grandmother and a great-great grandmother. She was remembered for her deep love of the color red and for the comfort and connection she brought to those around her. Her kitchen was always a place of gathering, laughter and warmth.

She is survived by her four children, David Netz Jr. and wife Marita, Dr. Donna Thomas and husband Dr. Daniel Thomas, Jerry Netz and wife Kimberly Netz and Steven Netz. Her loving memory lives on through her grandchildren: Debbie Bradley, Anthony Netz, Phillip Netz, Dr. Alexandria Thomas, Dr. Preston Thomas, Jerad Netz and Willow Netz and great grandchild, Micheal Bradley.
