My husband and I have lived in Joplin for 38 years. I met him here while visiting a friend, we dated and married one month later. It is a good place to raise a family. I had 2 children from my first marriage and we had one together. Ron and I owned our own companies; one in NE. and one in Joplin, MO, we worked from our home in Joplin and later we opened an offfice for the local business. We sold the one in NE. in 2000 and the other one in 2001. I c worked with Ron in the business and before that I worked as a hairdresser and later at Penney's in cosmetics. We have 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.I lost my husband to cancer in 2021. I stay busy with widow friends and church activities. I’m so thankful for my time with my husband, he was a blessing to me and my children.

Sue, I doubt there is anything special I can say to lift you up. I do feel your pain. I have had nine months of issues in my own life that states clearly that life is short. I will be thinking of you and a prayer for you.

Just an update on me. My husband of 44 years passed away July 4 of 2021 of bone cancer. We built a new home before he passed, my new address is Sue Massa, 2905 Forest Ct. Joplin, Mo. 64801. My cell is (417) 540-5177.

Richard, I don’t know if you let my classmates know about my husband Ron’s passing but thought many would be interested to know. Thanks for all you do to keep us connected.

Cal, I had total knee replacement in 2010 and I was bone on bone, so the pain was terrible. After the surgery I couldn't believe that there was no joint pain, surgical pain galore, but oh what a change. Best thing I ever did. I have great flexibility and range of motion. Hope you get past the hard part soon. Sue
